Either way, Guy ( a.k.a., Guido ) Fawkes and his co conspirators attempted a violent overthrow of King James I of England in 1605. He and the gang even tried to blow up the House of Parliament. However, the coup was unsuccessful and for the past 4 centuries, people everywhere have held bonfires to commemorate the day it all went awry for Guy.
For the first time in Central Florida History, Guy Fawkes Day will be celebrated in the heart of Kissimmee.
